The safety and wellbeing of everyone who comes to LBC is extremely important to us. Psalm 139 tells us that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made”, “knit together” by the God who knew us and loved us long before we were born. As such, we have a high responsibility to love, protect and safeguard the people in our care – particularly those who are young, vulnerable or at risk.
LBC has robust policies and processes in place for preventing abuse, for reporting and responding to concerns, for enabling the safe recruitment and supervision of leaders and workers, and for ensuring safe practice and premises throughout the church and in our activities on and off-site. You can read more about the details of these policies and procedures at the clickable links below. All our children’s volunteers and workers are DBS-checked.
If you have any questions or concerns in this area, we also encourage you to get in touch directly with our safeguarding team. Please see below for their contact details.
