Fellowship — Hebrews 10:19-25
(Ordinary Church pt 4)
Date: Sunday 7 February 2016
Speaker: Rev Dave Gooderidge
Summary:
Meeting with other Christians to listen to God’s Word, receive the Lord’s Supper, pray and sing is a really important channel of God’s grace. On any given Sunday (or at a midweek gathering) God can and does use others to build us up and strengthen us.

Prayer — Colossians 4:2-6
(Ordinary Church pt 3)
Date: Sunday 31 January 2016
Speaker: Rev Dave Gooderidge
Summary:
Shakespeare wrote: "Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt." Prayer — expressing our dependence upon God on the basis of what Christ has done — seems so weak, unspectacular and ordinary and our doubts often keep us from experiencing the blessing that comes through it. However prayer is a key channel (or means) of God’s grace to us.

The Word — Acts 2:37-47; 2 Timothy 4:1-8
(Ordinary Church pt 1)
Date: Sunday 3 January 2016
Speaker: Rev Dave Gooderidge
Summary:
God has given us some tools to help us live and grow as followers of Jesus in the ordinary, everyday lives He has called us to. These tools are pretty unspectacular and, not surprisingly, they’re often side-lined by the Church in its quest for the new, the spectacular and the "dynamic". But they are the tools that God has especially given to us and through these "ordinary means of grace" ordinary can become extraordinary.
